About Me
After over 10 years working as a carpenter and working on various projects of all sizes, I decided to specialise and hone my expertise in fitted living room alcove furniture. With years of knowledge, I provide my clients with the perfect solutions no matter the requirements.
Fitted furniture perfectly utilises the space on either side of the chimney breast. These alcove cupboards and shelves provide practical storage, hide away wires, and are beautiful ways to display all kinds of items.
I want you to know that keeping in character with your home is of utmost importance, so I work closely with you to provide the perfect solution. Cupboards and fitted shelves follow every contour of your home, and the finished product looks like it’s always been there. The finished product is both practical and eye-catching, not to mention timeless and full of character.

my work
I take great pride in ensuring my work is finished to the highest standards and completed in a time-efficient manner. Most of the work is carried out in my workshop prior to the day of fit. Depending on the size of the project, I will typically be at yours for two or three days.
I specialise in making bespoke fitted furniture and timeless traditional pieces. Please see my Instagram or portfolio below which highlights previous projects. Using the space either side of chimney breasts, I create superb storage to display and show off your belongings.
I endeavour to always be on time and take great pride in keeping your home neat and tidy. I provide dust sheets, dust extraction and cleaning equipment to ensure I leave your house exactly how I found it.
All of the images on this website are examples from a number of our previous projects, for which we will happily provide references upon request. I have worked hard to build a strong reputation in the area, and a great deal of our work is through recommendations as well as repeat custom.
How i work
Once initial contact is made, I can usually provide you with an approximate quote for the work. I will then arrange a visit to take measurements and discuss your ideas further. All the information is then collated to create bespoke designs that fit perfectly in your home.
Though the builds are bespoke the prices are fairly standardised because most Victorian / Edwardian homes have similar alcove spaces.
Once you are happy to proceed with the work, I will book an installation date.
All you need to do is buy some handles, choose a paint colour, and decide where the fitted shelves will be located up the wall.
A week before I start, I will be back in contact to request a 50% down payment, and I will start the build in my workshop.
I prepare as much as possible in my Bristol workshop, thus limiting the amount of dust and upheaval while I’m working in your home.
Installation usually takes a few days, depending on the project size. If items need to be sprayed they will be fitted first then removed for professional spraying.
Alcove cabinets
The alcove cabinets that I design and build are fully bespoke and made to fit your alcove space exactly. I do the majority of the build in my workshop in Bristol. The cabinets contain a single fixed shelf giving both the shelf and the cabinet extra strength and rigidity. The doors whether shaker or ultramodern flat panel doors are hung with top-of-the-range soft-close Blum hinges that will last a lifetime.
Knowing that no floors are perfect I spend a lot of time ensuring the cabinets are perfectly level across the room, and fixed firmly in place. Once I have achieved a level base the fitted cupboards are built up and topped with a cabinet worktop. The worktop will have a 80mm wooden cable tidy if required for lamps, TV’s and other electrical items.
Everything is bespoke and unique to your home, so the final result fits perfectly and optimises your storage needs.
I try my best to relocate electrical sockets, internet lines and TV aerials. By doing this they are presented neatly where they need to be.
